Spearheaded by Aditya Chopra, the movie will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor). Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their much loved roles of Jai Dixit and Ali. The film will begin shooting end of this year and is slated for a 2012 Christmas release. When contacted, Aamir said, "It is indeed a pleasure to be working with Yashji and Adi again. Dhoom is a great franchise, most entertaining and full of fun. Everytime I hear the theme tune of Dhoom it brings a swing to my step. Victor's script really won me over and I look forward to working with him."

Confidence speaks for itself. So when I met Sajid-Wajid at their Andheri office, the duo quotes, "We have a room filled with award trophies. And we still have room for more because we are expecting a few more this season."
The music director duo will be walking the red carpet tonight at the this year's Filmfare awards, India's most prestigious awards ceremony which takes place every year now at the famous Yash Raj studios.
On further questioning on why music is the soul of Indian cinema, Wajid quotes, "Music is forever and it is the purest form of creativity. It has so much strength. People have always remembered songs, old or new, but have forgotten the name of the film that song was a part of. Such is the power of music."
If India is waiting for the announcement of the next Filmfare award winners tonight, in Hollywood, our very own A.R Rahman must also be waiting for the Oscar results. Yes, the Mozart of Madras has been nominated twice at this year's Academy Awards under The Best Original Soundtrack and Best Original Song category for his film 127 Hours. Wajid recalls his encounter with the maestro, "Rahman saab is simply great. He deserves everything, not just awards. He keeps very quiet and he is a man of few words with bundles of talent. I've learnt to talk less and work more from A.R Rahman. There is much more to Mr. Rahman than what people believe there is. We will miss him at this year's Filmfare Awards."
Wajid also recalls some of his favourite songs not composed by them last year. "My favourite song has to be 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' from Ishqiya. What brilliant lyrics by Gulzar saab and a beautifully sung and composed song. Everything about that song is perfect. I also like 'Pee Loon' from Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai. I feel that 'Surili Ankhiyo Wali' from Veer was also good but it wasn't nominated.
But a shocker came in the form of Raavan. The music director duo were surprised on finding out that not a single song from Mani Ratnam's Raavan was nominated at this year's many of the award functions. Wajid had his own views, "I really expected Raavan songs to do extraordinary. I personally felt that Raavan songs were overdone and was a desperate attempt to try hard and make it too loud. Simplicity had gone out of the box. But having said that, the production of the album was superb. For some reason, Raavan couldn't touch people's hearts."
And before I called quits, I dropped the most important question, "Can you recall your first Filmfare award victory?" Sajid Wajid laugh out loud and answer, "We haven't won any Filmfare award yet. We've eaten the cake for many years. It's time we eat the cherry and the cream. We have everything except the black lady. Inshallah she'll be ours this year."

Dhobi Ghat is a dull gentry film for a very select audience which likes to watch festival films. It will have to rely on Aamir Khan’s presence in its cast and the Republic Day holiday on Wednesday to take its collections to a somewhat respectable level, mainly in the big cities only. Recovery of the relatively low cost of the film (considering that it stars Aamir Khan, who has worked for free) does not seem to be a difficult proposition at all since it has taken a fair start in cities because of his name and it should also fetch a fair price for its satellite rights, again thanks to his name.
While Dhobi Ghat’s publicity was so-so, the film’s opening, on Friday, January 21st, was dull at many of the centres and fair in several cities, mainly in the good multiplexes there.
This week’s other two Hindi releases did not get a good opening. The Vatsal Seth starrer, Hostel is a very poor show and will, therefore, find hardly any takers. Lack of promotion will only add to its tale of woes. Season Of The Witch is also too ordinary to make much of a mark at the box-office.

While Rohit's next two films are the remake of Singam(starring Ajay Devgn) and Bol Bachchan (starring Ajay Devgn & Abhishek Bachchan), the buzz is that Rohit is even planning a film with none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh was mighty impressed with Rohit's work in Golmaal 3 and has shown interest in working with the talented director. While details about their project are still unknown, the strong buzz is that Rohit would be remaking the cult-classic Angoor with Shah Rukh Khan.
Angoor, released in 1982, was a laugh-riot that featured Sanjeev Kumar, Deven Varma and Moushmi Chatterjee in lead roles. Comedy being Rohit Shetty's forte, it would be interesting to see how the director tackles this subject that too with the Baadshah of Bollywood.

You've never seen them like this before. Unprecedented sparks are going to fly between 'passionate' Priyanka Chopra and 'intense' Hrithik Roshan in Agneepath.
Says a source, "Hrithik and Priyanka don't believe in half-measures. If they've to convey intense feelings and passion they will go the whole hog in Agneepath. If in Krissh they romanced innocently keeping the kids in mind, their togetherness in Agneepath will be for Adults only."
The camaraderie between Hrithik and Priyanka is so palpable that Karan Johar gets a sense of deja vu. As a child, on his father Yash Johar's sets of Agneepath in 1990, Amitabh Bachchan and Madhavi shared the same easygoing bum-chum bantering and witty vibes as Priyanka and Hrithik.
Says a source, "Karan was just a teenager when his father had produced the original Agneepath. He still remembers the fantastic rapport between Mr. Bachchan and Madhavi. That relationship, Karan and his Agneepath remake's director Karan Malhotra felt, needed to be developed. The Hrithik-Priyanka bonding in the new Agneepath will build on the relationship that Karan had seen between Mr. Bachchan and Madhavi in the original Agneepath. The love story would be the core of the film."
When asked about the Hrithik-Priyanka rapport, Karan Johar said, "All I can tell you at the moment is that Priyanka is not playing a nurse like Madhavi in the original and she is not playing prostitute either. Yes we've built on the relationship shown in the original film between Amit Uncle and Madhaviji. The new Agneepath is first and foremost an intense love story. There was love between Priyanka and Hrithik in Krissh. But here we want an unparalleled intensity between them. You've never seen Priyanka and Hrithik get so intense with anyone before."

Salman Khan has got an eye surgery done recently in Dubai. A famous surgeon from Singapore was reportedly flown in specifically for Salman.
The surgery is for the removal of the eye bags that he developed.
Due to excessive stress, drinking alcohol and due to age, the eye bags develop in various person depending on these factors.
Some might develop them at 40 years of age while in some cases patients event developed the eye bags at the age of 30 due to excessive drinking.
The excessive fat and fascia (connective tissue) is removed. But Salman Khan got blood red eyes after this surgery and is now wearing the protective glasses.

It all started with the film Slumdog Millionaire for Anil Kapoor who went on to become famous across the globe courtesy his act in this Academy Award winning film directed by Danny Boyle. With acclaim coming in from all quarters, it wasn’t long before Anil was offered a pivotal part in the hit prime time Hollywood TV series 24, along side Kiefer Sutherland.Moving on, the latest buzz is that Anil has struck gold and the reason behind this is the fact that he has been confirmed for the fourth instalment in the Mission Impossible series, along side Hollywood action star Tom Cruise.
The film, which is being directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles), will start shooting under the initially decided working title ofAries. J. J. Abrams, who directed the third film in the series, will be writing the script for the film, alongside Andre Nemec and Josh Appelbaum.
As for Anil, earlier reports were that he would be playing the role of one of the villains in the film, however, sources now state that Anil will be seen essaying an integral supporting role, who is not a villain, though the nature of the role has not yet been revealed.
Speaking about this latest development Anil confirms the news but however remains tight lipped about his role stating “At this point I can only say that have been contacted for Mission impossible 4 and I have said yes for the role.”
This is indeed yet another plum international project in Anil Kapoor’s kitty. Way to go!

An invite to the prime minister’s private dinner for the US first couple was an honour enough, but when President Barack Obama praised his work, Aamir Khan was on cloud nine. The star, who was invited to the dinner by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his 7, Race Course Road residence, was cornered by the waiting media persons as soon as the do got over at around 10 p.m. Sunday.
‘President Obama said he has heard a lot about my work and my films,’ said Aamir, who was clad in a cream coloured kurta pyjama. ‘It (the dinner) was an opportunity to meet big personalities. I am a big fan of Manmohan-ji and I am happy that he called me up,’ he told the journalists.
Aamir, 45, also praised the dinner platter and revealed that First Lady Michelle Obama had told him she danced to his title number from ‘Rang De Basanti’. Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress-activist wife Shabana Azmi were also invited to the grand feast.

Indian heartthrob Hrithik Roshan today became the fifth Bollywood star to have his wax statue unveiled at the world-famous Madame Tussauds museum. “I was stunned when I saw my wax figure,” said the 37-year-old actor after unveiling the wax figure.
Other Bollywood stars whose wax statues adorn the ornate museum are that of Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan.
Hrithik who was accompanied by parents, father Rakesh Roshan, mother Pinky, grandfather J Om Prakash, wife Suzanne and their two sons, dedicated the honour to his family. “I am thrilled that my entire family is with me sharing this wonderful moment. More than the wax figure it’s a matter of emotions and pride that my family is there to see all this today. “It is made up of what I have received from my parents, grandparents, sister and wife. They have made me what I am. I dedicate this to my family,” he said. The Bollywood star also spoke about the first time he visited Madame Tussauds as a child.
“I was nine years old, holidaying in London with my family when my grandfather and I went to Madame Tussauds. We had to stand in line for 45 minutes and while I was jumping up and down with impatience and excitement, my grandfather waited patiently.”I even told him that we should go and come back the next day but my grandfather waited till we could enter Madame Tussauds. Today I feel he’s like that excited child I was,” said the actor.

So this time around, Salman has himself asked the Colors team to invite Hrithik on the show.A source said, “Salman is very fond of Hrithik and he had even visited him on the sets of “Guzaarish” along with Ranbir (Kapoor) at Mehboob Studio, as they were shooting nearby. Bhansali (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) and Salman were cordial with each other over coffee at this casual meeting. But there were subtle hints of unpleasant vibes between the two. This could be rooted to the fact that Bhansali had promised to cast Salman in his next (and Salman was looking forward to the project) but he cast Hrithik instead.”
Despite his differences with Bhansali, Salman is now excited to have Hrithik on Bigg Boss and has specifically asked the Colors team to invite him. Whether Hrithilk accepts the invitation is yet to be confirmed. But knowing the love and respect that Hrithik has for Salman, it’s an offer he clearly can’t refuse.

It’s the star-wives’ club at work. Mrs Shah Rukh Khan and Mrs Hrithik Roshan have brought their two superstar-husbands together.
On Friday night when Shah Rukh Khan watched Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish with his close family and friends he was so moved by the film and Hrithik Roshan’s performance that he yanked his younger colleague out of slumber and made him immediately drive down to his bungalow Mannat.
No one says no to King Khan. Dead tired and fighting off a viral attack Hrithik had no choice but to drive down to Mannat. Shah Rukh and Hrithik discussed Guzaarish and Hrithik’s performance until 2 am.
Says a source, “Shah Rukh had asked for a print of Guzaarish because he’s very fond of Hrithik. Also because Shah Rukh had played a physically challenged character in My Name Is Khan. He was curious to see how Hrithik had approached the character of a physically disabled hero. What started as profession inquisitiveness turned into a complete involvement with the onscreen goings-on. Shah Rukh felt Hrithik in Guzaarish excelled his own performance in My Name Is Khan.Shah Rukh also feels Guzaarish was way superior to what the director Sanjay Bhansali had achieved with Shah Rukh in Devdas.”
Half-way through the film Shah Rukh rang up Hrithik and asked him to come home immediately. The two are close friends and their wives are even closer.
Says Hrithik, “In fact Sussanne was already at Mannat. When Shah Rukh wanted me to go over I had no choice. He’s always very generous.”
It is rare for a colleague to be so generous towards another colleague’s stand-out performance, specially when he has given an equally riveting performance in the same genre during the same year.
Says a source, “Shah Rukh in My Name Is Khan and Hrithik in Guzaarish portraying two inspirational protagonists suffering from a crippling disability, will be the two top contenders for the best-actor nominations this year. By so generously acknowledging Hrithik’s performance Shah Rukh has dissolved the competitive edge between two superstars.”
