Aamir Khan is the number 1 actor of Bollywood today. As per BoxofficeIndia, he is ranked #1 in india and #2 overseas.
He has proved himself as an actor. His movies spread a message. There is no doubt that he is #1 today.
But unlike other superstars he doesnt have a huge fan following. By fan following I mean the fanatics who go to watch his movie come rain or shine. In my opinion, you need to have these fanatics to make you super successful. Take for example the case of Rajnikanth. His fans watch his movie even if the movies makes no sense. He has a very huge fan following and these fanatics are the ones who throng the theatres and make the cash register ringing.
Salman Khan has them, SRK has them, but Aamir Khan is missing on this front. Google him and you will not find an uptodate fanclub. SRK and Salman on the other hand have way too many fanclubs.
What do you think is the reason for this?. Is it because he is not flamboyant or glamorous?.

New Delhi, Feb 7 (IANS) He wore a turban and beard to play a sardar in hit film "Yamla Pagla Deewana", and now actor Sunny Deol is set to essay a dhoti-clad priest in Chandraprakash Dwivedi's "Mohalla Assi".
Sunny has taken on a very fresh and different character in the film. His look, complete with a dhoti, kurta, gamchha (towel), kolhapuri chappals and a choti (plait) is unique and quite unlike that of a Bollywood hero. But Sunny is quite excited.
"The script of 'Mohalla Assi' is very different and interesting, especially the character I play is very unique - it's not quite like anything I have played yet. You will see me in an entirely new avatar. It's true that I will be playing a pundit, therefore, I will be dressed in clothes that are typical for a pundit, right down to a 'choti' to complete the look," Sunny said in a press statement.
The story of "Mohalla Assi" is based in Benaras, says Dwivedi, whose last directorial was the critically acclaimed "Pinjar".
"It is a movie based in a famous and historical 'mohalla' (locality) on the southern end of Benaras and the river bank of Ganga. The film is based on a popular Hindi novel 'Kashi Ka Assi' written by Dr. Kashinath Singh," said Dwivedi, best known for his mythological TV shows "Chanakya" and "Mrityunjay".
On the reason behind choosing Sunny for the role, he said: "The movie is a satire and Sunny just seemed like someone that could do justice to the character, as he has proven to play serious roles equally as good as he plays comic roles."
The film is being produced by Vinay Tiwari of Crossword Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

Confirming the same, the actor tweeted, "Starting a new film on the 6th called MAXIMUM a serious film, I m playing an encounter specialist n yes finally I am doing a negative role."

The current trend of moviemaking in the Hindi film industry will reveal that almost every film which was popular at the box office is being brought back as a sequel for the audience. Therefore the Roshan family too is not to be left behind in the race. After tasting bitter failure with their earlier release 'Kites', the father – son duo of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan will be back on the Bollywood screen with a sequel to their 2006 release 'Krrish'.
According to reports circulating in the media, apart from Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra has also been roped to reprise her role of the journalist in the sequel to the 2006 superhit film. Contrary to earlier reports where it was said that leggy lass Piggy Chops will not be a part of the upcoming movie because of her supposed fallout with the Roshans, a source close to the Roshan family has said in a statement to the media that Priyanka Chopra was the first and only choice for the sequel to Krrish.
The plot of the sequel has not been revealed as of yet, but reports suggest that the sequel will begin from where the prequel saw its end. Therefore we can expect that while Hrithik Roshan as Krrish will still be the superhero, Priyanka Chopra will be his journalist girlfriend. Rakesh Roshan however will have to search for a new negative character for his upcoming project.

For the live recording of a song to be done in participation with online listeners on two popular microblogs, singer Adnan Sami garnered a whopping 475,000 participants.
The huge number of participants for Adnan's tribute to his father that he recorded Jan 21 at the Yash Raj Studios, has encouraged the composer-singer to attempt a whole album with live participants pitching in with their suggestions.
The proposed album will have tracks dedicated to Adnan's fans who would be contributing actively to every composition."When I recorded 'Main tere paas hoon' for my father last Friday, I thought I would give my fans and listeners a chance to share a very precious recording moment with me." "We expected around 65,000 participants. We got 475,000 very active, very vocal and excitable people coming online with their ideas and suggestions," said Adnan, who is of Pakistani descent but born and brought up in Britain, has been living in Mumbai for quite some time.

We guess he’s called King Khan for a reason. Everything about superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s next film Ra.One, which is touted to be one of the most expensive Hindi films ever, is being described as ‘king size’, be it action, music or budget.
And just when the media was digesting news that his superhero rubber suit in the movie will cost Rs 1 crore, SRK clarifies the real cost of the suit is much, much more. Says Khan, “I keep reading in the papers that my costume is a million rupee costume. But it’s actually a million dollar costume — that’s four-and-a-half crore rupees per costume. And there’s not one costume, there are 20 such!”
That puts the cost of just the costumes of the movie at Rs 100 crore, which reads like an unlikely figure. Khan carelessly adds that he was just talking about his character, G One’s costumes. “There are costumes forRa.One’s character too!”
Khan also goes on to liken his costumes to that of Spiderman, “Like the Spiderman suit, my costumes are specialised. They are not for style – you can’t wear them to parties. But yeah, you could probably wear G.One’s designer T-shirts.”
But when asked about the budget of the movie, Khan plays it down by shifting focus instead on to the ‘simple’ story of the movie, “Ra.One is a very real film, although it is in the genre of superhero-meets-genie in a bottle. I have tried not to keep it over-the-top or too ‘dialoguey’. It has real situations and authentic dialogue.”
Although he remains tight-lipped about the exact storyline of the movie, Khan gives us a sneak peak, “I play a very genuine South Indian character in the movie. I’ve been thinking about the poster of the movie and I think the film can be put in one line as ‘Every father wants to be a hero to his son’.
“So even though the film is about a superhero, it is also a family film,” he insists. “Kareena (Kapoor) is my wife in the movie, we have a kid and we are a regular family – there is a lot of comedy, happiness and bonding, until all hell breaks loose. And then, there is action, which you hopefully have never seen before, at least in an Indian movie.” We will soon find out.

Salman Khan has got an eye surgery done recently in Dubai. A famous surgeon from Singapore was reportedly flown in specifically for Salman.
The surgery is for the removal of the eye bags that he developed.
Due to excessive stress, drinking alcohol and due to age, the eye bags develop in various person depending on these factors.
Some might develop them at 40 years of age while in some cases patients event developed the eye bags at the age of 30 due to excessive drinking.
The excessive fat and fascia (connective tissue) is removed. But Salman Khan got blood red eyes after this surgery and is now wearing the protective glasses.

This could be the coup of the season. After sharing screen space in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, strong rumours say that Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan will once again come together in Farhan Akhtar’s Don-2.
The trade says that the two best friends, SRK and Duggu are going to be shooting a small portion of the spy thriller in Berlin. Hrithik has flown to Berlin on October 28 and he will be there till November 3.
Everyone assumed that the light-eyed actor was only going to be in Berlin for SRK’s birthday celebrations. Now we hear that Duggu may be shooting for a cameo in Don-2.

With acclaim coming in from all quarters, it wasn’t long before Anil was offered a pivotal part in the hit prime time Hollywood TV series 24, along side Kiefer Sutherland.Moving on, the latest buzz is that Anil has struck gold and the reason behind this is the fact that he has been confirmed for the fourth instalment in the Mission Impossible series, along side Hollywood action star Tom Cruise.
The film, which is being directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles), will start shooting under the initially decided working title ofAries. J. J. Abrams, who directed the third film in the series, will be writing the script for the film, alongside Andre Nemec and Josh Appelbaum.
As for Anil, earlier reports were that he would be playing the role of one of the villains in the film, however, sources now state that Anil will be seen essaying an integral supporting role, who is not a villain, though the nature of the role has not yet been revealed.
Speaking about this latest development Anil confirms the news but however remains tight lipped about his role stating “At this point I can only say that have been contacted for Mission impossible 4 and I have said yes for the role.”
This is indeed yet another plum international project in Anil Kapoor’s kitty. Way to go!

So this time around, Salman has himself asked the Colors team to invite Hrithik on the show.A source said, “Salman is very fond of Hrithik and he had even visited him on the sets of “Guzaarish” along with Ranbir (Kapoor) at Mehboob Studio, as they were shooting nearby. Bhansali (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) and Salman were cordial with each other over coffee at this casual meeting. But there were subtle hints of unpleasant vibes between the two. This could be rooted to the fact that Bhansali had promised to cast Salman in his next (and Salman was looking forward to the project) but he cast Hrithik instead.”
Despite his differences with Bhansali, Salman is now excited to have Hrithik on Bigg Boss and has specifically asked the Colors team to invite him. Whether Hrithilk accepts the invitation is yet to be confirmed. But knowing the love and respect that Hrithik has for Salman, it’s an offer he clearly can’t refuse.
