The two had met and fallen in love when they were in college and Imran was not at all sure what he wanted to do with his life. They have been together through their growing years, seen many ups and downs, and got officially engaged early this year at a private do in Karjat. Now, a lavish wedding is set to happen in Mumbai and the two families are busy working on getting the right muhurat that could be locked in as the auspicious day for the ceremony.

Unlike many Bollywood stars who play coy and hide their affairs behind the “we are just good friends” cliche, Imran has never denied his love for Avantika or even tried to hide her from the world. They were always open about their relationship and were spotted together at many social dos… which is something that most actors who are seeing someone shy away from doing.

He will be the youngest romantic hero in Bollywood to get hitched. While Imran confirmed the wedding, he declined to divulge any more information. The actor’s PR person said that everything about the wedding was under wraps. The only known fact so far is that it will take place in the second week of January and that close friends are being sent SMSes telling them to be free around that period.

Despite the big good news, Imran won’t take time off from work and will be extensively busy promoting his next film. Post this, he will go to Las Vegas to shoot for Karan Johar’s next film on November 26 and only be back on December 16. Then the actor will take a short break of 20 days for his wedding and then rush back to the shoot.
